Last year, when Farmer & The Owl Festival announced their inaugural lineup, we got pretty bloody excited. Here was a new music festival curated by musicians and music fans, and the resulting lineup was nothing short of an indie-music lover’s paradise. The festival was a risk, no doubt about it. But anyone who attended that glorious day in McCabe Park knows that it well-and-truly paid off.
Now, the festival have gone and dropped their first-round 2020 lineup… and we’re stoked to say that none of those risk-taking tendencies have worn off. Seriously, this bill is amazing.
Music lovers rejoice! Farmer & The Owl Festival is returning in 2020 with a massive lineup that features the likes of Hot Chip, Weyes Blood, Fat White Family, and heaps more.
Next February, a catalogue of the globe’s most exciting acts will descend upon Wollongong for a huge day of music. Headlining the festival will be UK dance-pop legends Hot Chip, alongside occultist stoner-rock masters Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, electro-punk duo Sleaford Mods, experimental psych-folk wonder Weyes Blood, and Britain’s most notorious group hell-raisers Fat White Family, among others.
The festival’s 2020 lineup has been curated by the the Farmer and The Owl label family of Hockey Dad, Bad//Dreems, Totally Unicorn, The Pinheads, TEES and Tropical Strength.
Tickets for Farmer & The Owl Festival 2020 go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am. Do yourself a favour and grab one, we guarantee this will be one of the best festivals of next year.
