Find bliss within Max C Bud’s new single Temptress

Max C Bud and Sam Croft’s (Boo Seeka) collaboration is a prime melding of acoustic and electronic music. Strong melodies and honest lyrics seamlessly intertwined by Croft’s slick production deliver a tight, catchy, feel-good track.

This one goes out to fans of DMA’s, Paul Dempsey and Josh Pyke.

Max C Bud and Sam Croft team up to deliver Temptress, a hefty slice of electro-acoustic-pop. Think The War on Drugs meets Paul Dempsey and DMA’s.

The video, directed by Cadillac Club, sees Max willingly tag along with a bunch of masked ‘guerrilla girls’ as they plan heists, steal shit and run around in the woods with flares, indulging in their reckless, youthful freedom.

Lyrically, the song is about letting go of someone. As Max says:

“I wrote Temptress during a confronting time in my life. It’s about dealing with an issue head-on and being honest with someone about a troubled relationship that couldn’t be changed.”

The two artists have been working together in recent months to expand Bud’s sonic repertoire beyond his typically acoustic catalogue.

“Music has always been my personal creative outlet, but working with Croft on this track, allowed me to interpret my music in a new way,” said Max.

Likewise, Croft also enjoyed and learned from the creative process with Bud.

Every lyric has purpose and in the studio Max was dedicated to making sure every melody was delivered just as he wanted. It’s a unique sound, largely due to Max’s smooth, yet rustic voice and the poppy yet edgy tune.”

Although Bud has been playing music for the last 20 years, this is his first project as a solo artist. The songwriter was initially inspired to create music during his formative years living in NSW’s North Coast, where he was surrounded by talented, creative people.
