FLOSSY’s self-titled EP is a wave of energy, self-reflection and grunge-pop power

Perth sister act FLOSSY are celebrating the launch of their self-titled EP with a party at the Rosemount Hotel on April 28. We’ve been lucky enough to listen to a few tracks and can safely say this is a record you’ll really want to sink your teeth into.

The band have delivered a slate of successful performances over the past two years, supporting some renowned Aussie acts such as Abbe May, End of Fashion, and Bleeding Knees Club. Having released the blasting single Burden to My Lover last December, the EP follows suit with FLOSSY’s signature style of grunge-pop.

FLOSSY’s self-titled EP is the product of all their hard work, a carefully crafted crash of energy, self-reflection and power.

Made up of sisters Sinead and Lauren O’Hara, Tom Wilson and Steve D’Angelo, FLOSSY are set to stir up the Aussie music scene with their enchanting yet badass spirit.

Recorded last year at Blackbird Sound Studio and mastered by William Bowden at King Willy Sound, the EP runs with electric energy; a punchy and solid representation of the band’s journey. Quiet Girl, Riot Girl is rife with wailing guitar and riot grrrl vibes, while I Want You is a bass-laced, head banging track.

From their first song ever written Red Lights, to more recent collaborations as a four piece, the record is testament to just how far the girls have come in so short a time. Ultimately, the EP injects an exciting amount of vigour and grungey vibes into the Australian music scene, much to the delight of us all.

FLOSSY will be joined by an incredible female fronted line up on the night of their launch, with support from local sad girl legends CALMLY (formerly Childsaint). Also on the bill is soulful alt-rockers Edie Green and the mesmerising Oosterbanger.

For just ten bucks, you can tear it up at The Rosemount Hotel with all these amazing acts for the FLOSSY EP launch on April 28. Get all the details here.
