GTA Online: The Contract is the game’s first story-focused expansion in ages. In a series first, it features new and unreleased music from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Anderson Paak.
The GTA series is synonymous with fantastic music and the brand-new narrative-driven expansion, GTA Online: The Contract, takes that reputation one step further. Previously known more for their stellar selection of classic tracks that play through their games’ iconic radio stations, Rockstar Games are now officially in the business of releasing new music.
GTA Online: The Contract reignites the story of GTA V, putting players back in the shoes of everyone’s favourite street hustler: Franklin. Although in the time that has passed since the events of the original game it appears life has been rather kind to our main man.
Now boasting a successful business empire and an impressive list of famous and influential associates, Franklin is rubbing shoulders with some of the most elite figures in the music industry. Chief amongst these high rollers is hip-hop luminary/record producer extraordinaire Dr. Dre.
What this means in the context of GTA Online: The Contract is that not only do you get to hangout with a pixelated version of Dre himself, doing missions and chilling in the studio, but you’ll be doing so to some great new tunes.
Dre has come to the world of GTA bearing gifts, and by that I mean some of his highly sought after collaborators. The six new tracks that appear in the game feature Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Anderson Paak, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle and Ty Dolla $ign.

Dr. Dre is famous for his lengthy spells between releasing new music, so this is a massive steal for GTA Online and Rockstar Games – and it really shouldn’t be missed.
The big winners are those that already play the game, as these 6 tracks aren’t currently available on any of the major streaming services. However, it should be noted that GTA Online is free to play, meaning those that want to listen to the new Dr. Dre tracks in their intended context can do so without so much as opening their wallets.
That said, if you aren’t much of a gamer the tracks have seemingly found their way onto old mate YouTube, as evidenced below.
GTA Online: The Contract is available now as part of GTA Online on PS3, PS4, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
