A few weeks back, we sat down with Baker Boy in a Sydney hotel to have a chat for the front cover Happy Mag Issue 7.
We went deep into the massive year the young artist has had so far and all his plans for the coming months. Since then, the Northern Territory rapper has toured alongside the iconic 50 Cent and Dizzee Rascal for their Australian shows and his music video for hit single Marryuna was premiered on ABC’s Rage.
Baker Boy wants to create platform for young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to learn more about native languages, and celebrate the culture of Australia as one.
To say that the summer of 2018 has been a big one for Baker Boy would be a massive understatement. It was his calm but cheeky and disarming attitude that made for such easy flowing conversation. Denzel Baker, as those in his closer circle call him, is a natural performer and an effortless presence.
