Have your mixtape reviewed by Raekwon and Ghostface Killah

Rap heavyweights Raekwon and Ghostface Killah have announced that they will will review and even work on fans’ mixtapes if they donate to the pair’s crowd funding for their film The Purple Tape Files.

The film is a documentary that details the making of Raekwon’s classic album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx with the trailer for the film debuted at Sundance Film Festival. Through FanBacked Raekwon and Ghostface Killah are seeking the assistance of fans to help fund the completion of the film, offering numerous incentives.

For a measly $200 donation you can have your mixtape reviewed by the pair who will offer their criticism on how to best improve your music. In a statement the pair said “We’ll open up our PERSONAL studios to host a recording session with our favorite artists from the tracks sent in and work with YOU on how to improve that sound and make something iconic.” Not a bad deal no?

If you’re willing to fork out $1000 you’ll get admission to all of Raekwon’s shows for the next five years, $2 500 will give you actual studio time with Raekwon and a meagre $4000 will give you an entire day with Raekwon, in a totally platonic way we’re sure.

You can visit the FanBacked page here and will be active for 60 days.
