Just when you thought Kanye West couldn’t possibly get any more ridiculous, it appears the rapper has decided to start his own beauty and wellness range.
West has reportedly filed a trademark for the name Yeezy Beauty, and in classic Kanye style, he has some rather grand ideas.
When you think of beauty and wellness, do you think of Kanye West? Remember this moment, because your whole world may be about to change (but probably not).
According to TMZ, the line will reportedly include the likes of makeup, false eyelashes, facial masks, nail polish, moisturizers, bath gels, body oils, and shaving cream – and that’s not all. Yeezy Beauty will also include hair care products and perfumes, hygienic products like toothpaste and deodorant, and even scented pine cones and aromatherapy pillows. The man is clearly building an empire.
This is not the first time that West has tried his hand at the beauty industry, with the rapper filing a trademark for the name DONDA cosmetics, named after his late mother. However, the bid for trademark rights was unsuccessful and the project never came to fruition.
Being married to Kim Kardashian, who also has her own massive KKW Beauty line, perhaps this latest venture isn’t so far-fetched at all. For Yeezy’s sake, hopefully Yeezy Beauty doesn’t follow in the steps of sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, who was recently called out by Forbes for being a liar after falsely reporting earnings from her beauty line, Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie has now been removed from Forbes Billionaires List, however, Kanye remains.
