Kanye West teases Jesus Is King with new film trailer

US rapper/master troll Kanye West has shared an exclusive behind the scenes glimpse of his upcoming film Jesus Is King.

If this trailer is anything to go by, Kanye has seemingly assumed a partially directorial role for the project, being shown wielding a camera, in footage interspersed with bible passages.

Jesus Is King is set to be released next week, on October 25th, in tandem with the release of his new studio album of the same name.

It takes place in a James Turrell installation that was constructed in Arizona’s Roden Crater earlier this year, with Kanye leading his ‘Sunday Service’ choir in song.

Jesus Is King is set to be released next week, on October 25th, in tandem with the release of his new studio album of the same name. Rumoured collaborators on the gospel-inspired project (which reportedly features 13 tracks) include Nicki Minaj and Young Thug. It has had a turbulent history, with the album missing its two initially scheduled release dates (September 27th and 29th) to the ire of fans.

The film will play in IMAX theatres exclusively for one week only. Watch the trailer below:
