“It’s not technical. It’s fun,” they laughed, describing their playful yet brutal live shows.
Frontman Louis revealed the band’s origin story: a long-distance friendship with guitarist Rob led to a pivotal mosh-grab moment at a show.
“I started the band for Emily, just to give her an emotional outlet,” Louis shared. Fast-forward, and Volatile Ways have become a fully-fledged touring force, recently completing a national run with their biggest influences.
Exploring themes of homicidal fantasy and mental torment, their lyricism draws from video games and lived experiences. “It’s a dream come true,” they admitted.
With their ferocious dichotomy and unshakeable bond, Volatile Ways are cementing their reign as Australia’s most slay heavy export.
