Lara Andallo flaunts her allure on just-released single, OBSESSED
Lara Andallo has followed up on the success of her 2023 debut EP, today (November 23) releasing a brand new single OBSESSED.
Carried by sultry 808 beats and Andallo’s ever-buttery vocals, the track serves as a seductive self-empowerment anthem, as the singer-songwriter revels in being the object of someone’s desire.
As always, the shining moments on OBSESSED arrive whenever Andallo slinks acrobatically around the propulsive R&b production.
“When I step into the club they watching,” she coos atop punchy snares, inhabiting the soundscape with alluring finesse. The single was co-written by Ebenezer, who has elsewhere worked with the likes of BTS, REMA, Lil Durk and Ashnikko.
“I wanted to release a song that’s gonna be people’s summer anthem,” Andallo said of OBSESSED in a press statement. “I want people to be dancing and sweating in the club to this record all summer long.”
The single is the first in a string of songs to be released by Andallo throughout 2024, in her first new material since the arrival of her DIAMONDS & DEJAVU EP earlier this year.
“The EP showcases [Andallo’s] grasp of low-fi and steamy slow-burns, as her vocals remain an enchanting throughline across all tracks,” Happy Mag wrote of the EP upon its release in February.
Fresh off the release of OBSESSED, Andallo is embarking on a tour of Australia and New Zealand next week (November 28 – December 3), in support of fellow R&b singer Kiana Lede. Find tickets to the shows here.
Andallo has also joined the lineup of Souled Out Festival, which tours throughout Australia next March and features fellow lineup entrants Summer Walker, Tinashe, Bryson Tiller, Smino and PARTYNEXTDOOR, among others. See more information here.
