Larry David is the latest celebrity to release a PSA encouraging us to stay at home. Sure, we are all going a little insane cooped up at home under the latest social distancing laws but Larry David says this is a once in a lifetime opportunity… to sit at home and watch TV.
David recorded himself telling the world to stay at home in a recent twitter post released on the account of the Office of the Governor of California.
Larry David has warned that people ignoring social distancing guidelines are “hurting old people like me!”
David has reiterated the need to protect the more vulnerable people in our communities in this recent video. In particular, the elderly who have been identified as being at a much higher risk of both contracting and dying from the virus.
Of course, he delivers this message with his usual comedic spin, somehow making us both aware of the seriousness of the coronavirus whilst also managing to get us to crack a smile. Instead of leaving the house, the comedian says we should binge-watch a good TV series – namely his Curb Your Enthusiasm program. And at a whopping ten seasons, this should take up a fair amount of your time in self-isolation:
“You’re hurting old people like me. Well not like me, I have nothing to do with you, I’ll never see you.” David jokes, “The problem is you’re passing up a fantastic opportunity – a once in a lifetime opportunity – to stay in the house sit on the couch and watch TV! I don’t know how you’re passing that up.”
You can watch David’s full video response here:
“You’re hurting old people like me. Well, not me… I’ll never see you.”
Larry David wants everyone to stay home to protect older Californians from #COVID19!
He does not do these things.
