Legion music festival has just announced a massive competition to find 20 rising acts to take the stage at the inaugural event.
The competition is looking for six acts from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and one act from Adelaide and Perth, who will be given the opportunity to play at Legion in their home city. Competition winners will join previously announced acts like Darkest Hour, Battlecross and Caligula’s Horse.
To enter, each band has to submit a song, music video, photo and a short bio. All entries will be reviewed by a panel, which will include record label executives, music producers, music media experts and Legion organisers, selecting finalists who will then be voted for by Legion fans.
On the competition, Legion founder John Sankey explained “We made a commitment to support local bands and the local industry and we meant it. We turn to the fans for all major decision making, so why should this be any different?”
