Producers want Liam Neeson to star in Paramount’s Naked Gun reboot, but he hasn’t signed on just yet: “I honestly don’t know.”
Actor/producer Seth McFarlane, and director Akiva Schaffer, have their sights set on casting Liam Neeson in the forthcoming Paramount reboot of the ’80s slapstick comedy film franchise, Naked Gun.
Earlier this year, during an appearance on the TV show People, Neeson discussed the production team’s pursuit of him for the lead role, and expressed some hesitancy: “It’ll either finish my career or bring it in another direction. I honestly don’t know.”
While the Taken actor hasn’t signed on the dotted line just yet, sources have informed Deadline that Paramount Pictures is planning to go ahead with the project, with Akiva Schaffer appointed as the director, and that Liman Neeson is currently engaged in a negotiation process with them.
