It’s no secret that Johnny Rotten has a provocative mouth. Yesterday, the former Sex Pistols frontman – aka John Lydon – went onto Good Morning Britain with hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid where he discussed his opinion of Trump and his stance on the Brexit vote. Unsurprisingly, his comments were less than savoury.
Listen to loudmouth Johnny Rotten say Trump is not a racist, call him a “possible friend” and say he supported Brexit in a interview on Good Morning Britain.
“What I dislike is the left-wing media in America are trying to smear the bloke as a racist, and that’s completely not true,” Lydon said in the interview. “There’s many, many problems with him as a human being, but he’s not that, and there just might be a chance something good will come out of that situation, because he terrifies politicians. And this is joy to behold.”
Morgan then called him “the absolutely archetypal anti-establishment character in politics,” where Lydon added, “Dare I say, a possible friend.”
At the beginning of the interview, Lydon also called his experience meeting UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage ‘fantastic’. He also said of Brexit: “The working class have spoke, and I’m one of them, and I’m with them. And there it is.”
