Metallica are releasing a children’s book

It’s about time Metallica gave us some new material, except we weren’t quite expecting what the heavy metal band have in store for us this time.

Metallica has decided to conquer the world of children’s publishing with a new book titled The ABCs of Metallica, due out November 26th.

“The ABCs of Metallica looks back at the history of the band from, duh, A to Z! Each letter of the alphabet highlights a moment along our journey from Garage Days to Master of Puppets to fun facts about us,” the band wrote on their website.

The band are hoping to play around with their book and have a little fun while also raising money for their charity All Within My Hands.

All Within My Hands, which states on their website that they are dedicated to “creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the right against hunger, and other critical local services” will benefit from the book by collecting a portion of the profits.

The book will be illustrated by Michael “Kaves” McLeer, who participated in Metallica’s 2012 exhibit ‘Obey Your Master’ and has also been written in collaboration with Howie Abrams, who is best known for his Hip Hop Alphabet book.

Metallica’s branding is certainly getting more creative with these out of the box ideas with last year the band releasing their own type of Whiskey. A little bit of extra creativity never hurt anyone though and if your curious to get your hands on a copy of their new book, you can pre-order it here.

Metallica is also set to tour Australia in October so you can grab what’s left of the tickets here.
