Peach Soda stikes electro-pop gold on ‘Move My Body’

There’s something seriously infectious about the music of Peach Soda. In a very short amount of time, the Sydney-based artist (real name Nick Lennon) has carved out a sound that feels simultaneously grounded and far-reaching; it’s rooted in deep funk grooves but stretches into far more exciting and unexpected sonic territories.

With the release of his debut single Move My Body, Lennon has immediately established his penchant for crafting addictive and immersive gems of sound. If you’re not already across this artist, we strongly recommend you change that.

On his debut single Move My Body, Sydney-based producer Peach Soda delivers a pool-side party-starter; a breezy and infectious slice of electro-pop.

All throughout the new single, Peach Soda glides through a breezy concoction of funk, pop, dance, and electronica, delivering something uniquely his own. With intricate, textured production and memorable vocal hooks, Move My Body will, as its title suggests, nest itself in your body and force you to move.

Clocking in at just over two minutes, Lennon is able to create something quite sprawling in a short space of time. Each sound and sample swirls into a whirlpool of sound, sweeping you away with bright and dynamic melodies. By the time the track reaches its conclusion, you’ll undoubtedly have been roped in by Peach Soda’s irresistible brand of music.

These may still be early days for this Sydney artist, but judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes.

In the meantime, do yourself a favour and listen to the new single above.
