Pornhub share ‘Senator’ search is on the rise thanks to Congressional Candidate Mike Itkis sex tape

Seems ‘Senator Porn’ is more popular than ever, with Independent candidate for Congress Mike Itkis, making headlines for uploading his sex tape to PornHub this year.

Congressional Candidate for New York’s 12th District campaign, Mike Itkis has highlighted a “sex-positive approach” to domestic policy and released a sex tape to show support for sex workers, hoping for a “starting point for conversations.”

The video co-stars professional adult film star Nicole Sage, and went viral in mid-October. Pornhub’s statisticians found that searches containing “Mike Itkis” and “Nicole Sage” had a combined total of over 700,000 searches from October 13th to October 17th. Needless to say, the video’s popularity is rising, with over 800,000 views, to date.

On the whole, if you look at the comments cropping up about the video, it seems to be more of a publicity stunt, than a starter to any meaningful conversation about sex workers’ rights and the law surrounding it.

Itkis has repeatedly shared that the 13-minute video was intended as a conversation piece “If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue. And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.”

Itkis said the porn video “Bucket List Bonanza” was his first time having sex on camera, and said that he is in no way an exhibitionist. “I’m very much an introvert. I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important… I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way.”

Hopefully, this stunt paves the way for Itkis to start these much-needed conversations, take the responsibility on board and ask the big questions to his constituents, and give sex workers a meaningful platform to discuss the issues that matter to them.
