Pornhub is doing its bit for civic duty and denying Americans access to its page until they’ve voted in today’s election.
It’s US election day! Polls are closing, votes are being counted, results aren’t far off – and Pornhub decided they weren’t going to let you get off until you’d been a good citizen and voted.
From 10 am to 9 pm EST today, American users who visited Pornhub were greeted with a landing page reminding them that they had to vote – with the adult site only available to those who confirmed that they had. Pornhub’s official campaign slogan? “Give a fuck, get a fuck”. Genius.
Pornhub is doing its part to promote the 2020 election, urging citizens to get out and vote with its newly-launched campaign, created alongside creative agency Just For Fun.
This has been one of many campaigns that the site has recently instigated, including others promoting coronavirus safety and sex education. Brand ambassadors and popular pornstars have been taking to their social media channels throughout the day, posting short and sultry clips telling voters “if they don’t give a fuck, they don’t get a fuck.”

“Roughly 43 per cent of eligible voters – equal to 100 million people – didn’t vote in the 2016 US presidential election, according to turnout estimates from the US Elections Project,” stated Pornhub’s vice president, Corey Price, in a statement.
“We want to encourage people to do their civic duty this year by casting their ballot and having their voice heard.”
With the results not far off, let’s hope Pornhub’s campaign rallied some voters!
