Earlier this year, with the release of Headroxx (their first studio album since 2013), we were immediately drawn back into the bizarre and sardonic world of Regurgitator.
Now, fresh of a huge national tour, the ‘Gurge have unveiled a new video for their track Light Me On Fire; a jolting and unsettling rally against capitalism and consumer culture.
Fresh off the release of their first album in five years, Aussie music legends Regurgitator are back with another brain-melting video for Light Me On Fire.
The new video sees the band spasm their way through a live performance of the track, with frontman Quan Yeomans spending the majority of the clip looking like his eyes are about to burst out of his skull.
“Yeah, I was born pimp and whore to fiscal quarters. Educated yeah, I can follow orders,” Yeomans erupts.
“Fellow hoarders – please fill out your order forms. Stick to your scheduled repayments and it’ll all be yours.”
Across the video’s disorientating two-and-a-half minute duration, Regurgitator will smack you in the head repeatedly and leave you asking for more.
It’s a wonderful feeling that we can’t wait to experience more of. For now, do yourself a favour and watch the new video above.
