When Brisbane five-piece Sacred Shrines released their debut fill-length album Come Down From The Mountain in 2016, we were immediately hooked on their vintage garage sounds.
Now, over two years later, the band have released a surprise new video for their track Perfect Dream… and we’re stoked to be premiering it for you today.
On their trippy new video for Perfect Dream, Brisbane psych-garage quintent Sacred Shrines will walk you through a wonderfully bizarre hallucination.
On Perfect Dream, Sacred Shrines float through a hypnotic blend of old-school psych and garage to deliver a sound that belongs entirely to themselves.
With irresistibly jangly instrumentation and hallucinatory vocal hooks, the band have crafted a song that feels simultaneously nostalgic and fresh.
The song’s accompanying video sees the band laying down a live performance of the track, while a trippy wall design oozes across the screen, leaving you unsure of where each scene begins and ends. It’s a wonderful feeling of disorientation that you’ll quickly become addicted to.
This October, Sacred Shrines will be embarking on a national tour, so keep your eyes peeled for live dates. Their bound to be hitting up a town near you sooner or later.
For now, do yourself a favour and watch the new video for Perfect Dream above.
