Rudy Giuliani has called the NYPD on Sacha Baron Cohen after the comedian attempted to con the former New York mayor into an interview.
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has called the cops on Sacha Baron Cohen, after the comedian attempted to con Giuliani into a prank interview.
Giuliani, Donald Trump’s personal attorney, told Page Six that Cohen had fooled him into attending an interview at the Mark Hotel, before he entered wearing a “pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top.”
Once the NYPD were notified, Cohen promptly fled the scene. He was seen running out of the hotel and down New York’s 77th Street wearing a bathrobe.
76-year-old Giuliani appeared pleased that he hadn’t fallen for the comedian’s trick, but revealed that he was a fan of Cohen’s movies, going as far as impersonating Borat during his chat with Page Six. No footage of the interview is available just yet, so we can only hope that Giuliani’s Borat impression surfaces online.
This comes a week after Sacha Baron Cohen pranked a right-wing protest group in Washington State, posing as a racist bluegrass singer.
There is still no news as to whether this increase in the comedian’s activity is related to a new series of his show Who Is America, or just something he does in his spare time.
In the meantime, you can watch series one of Who Is America on Stan.
