RY X unveils third album ‘Blood Moon’ and global tour dates

RY X has launched his ethereal and evocative third album, Blood Moon ahead of UK and European tour dates.

RY X has unveiled his highly-anticipated third studio album, Blood Moon. In celebration, the award-winning Australian artist and producer is currently on the Northern European leg of his international tour, which kickstarted in early July.

Self-produced in his studio in Topanga, California, this dynamic, experimental and soul-stirring 13-track collection marks RY X’s most personal, profound and organic release to date.

The album’s focus track, Spiral blessed our ears in late May. Co-written with German artist Niklas Paschburg, Spiral takes us on a captivating and effortlessly-unfolding sonic journey, ushered by ethereal strings, evocative keys, brooding synths, a pulse-like beat, and illuminating vocals that reflect across the forefront of the mix, in an understated yet powerful way.

The accompanying music video, directed by Rob Woodcox, perfectly encapsulates the feelings that Spiral draws out. A synergy between serenity, solitude and sophistication is deftly displayed through clever choreography, earthy tones, the tranquil ambience of water, and the picturesque backdrop of Cuadra San Cristóbal, situated on the outskirts of Mexico City.

Since emerging in 2014 with his spellbinding acoustic tune, Love Like This, RY X has continued to captivate his ever-growing fanbase, with the likes of widely-celebrated records, Dawn and Unfurl.

Blood Moon was released digitally on June 17 via BMG. The album will also be made available in CD (exclusive to RY X’s official store) and Vinyl formats (via official store, HMV and selected indie record shops) on August 26. Stream Blood Moon via Spotify below.
