Sand3 is Acoustica Audio’s latest plugin suite that reproduces the sonic behaviour of a series of high-end British consoles which dominated the Pop and Rock scene from the ’80s.
Acustica Audio are the creators of boutique software plugins, with professional hardware emulations like the Nebula and Acqua series.
Sand3 gives you a massive slice of SSL goodness in software form. Acustica Audio has also upped the ante with two new equalizers for a total of six plugins.
Sand3 utilizes the company’s expertise in sampling technology. Acustica has enlisted 7 renowned AI engineers and implemented its new Core 14 engine into the suite. This means you have access to a total of eight AI presets which you can use in your productions.
Features include a fully replicated channel strip, 3 EQ modules, a compressor inspired by 3 different British units, and a preamp module. The suite now comes with two added EQ modules, two more than the previous Sand2 now boasting 6 amazing plugins. The new E and G series EQs are based on “homebrew” EQs by Soundrops. The EQs are based on a 4000 E console and SL 8000 GB respectively.
New metering options are also included in Sand3. VU, Peak, True Peak, LUFS, K12 and K14 meters are all available to give you plenty of ways to get your levels precisely right.
