Get to know Splendid Fiasco: the alt rock band from Western Sydney and their splendid selects

Splendid Fiasco is a four-piece alt-rock/reggae outfit from Western Sydney that’ll pluck away at your heartstrings and make you move your body like never before.

These four good mates decided to take their drink-up jams to the next level, and with influences ranging from Mako Road to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to L.A.B, they create a firework of grooviness that’ll blow your mind.

To get to know these alt-rockers a little better, Splendid Fiasco has curated a playlist of AUS/NZ artists that they love and have taken inspiration from. It’s clear that these guys are passionate about their craft and dedicated to creating music that resonates with their fans. So, turn up the volume, hit play, and let Splendid Fiasco take you on a wild musical ride!

One of their special tunes is Heartbreak Bus, which is about the constant collapsing heartbreak stop after stop. This track means so much to the band as it was one of the first songs they ever wrote together. They’re absolutely pumped to be sharing it with the world. They headed north to the groove studio to record with Tom McKenzie, and the result is a catchy, rhythmically-infectious tune that’ll have you grooving all night long.

Heartbreak Bus, that’s set to transport you to another world, with a guitar riff that is as powerful and awesome as anything put out by the forefathers of rock and roll. Make your way to I believe it with Teenage Dads, Lie to me again, The Buoys, and wrap it up with Ocean Alleys, Lapwing.

Catch the band at the Vanguard on the 2nd of March.
