The Dandy Warhols announce 25th anniversary Australian shows

In 1994, amidst the early years of the 90s grunge scene, a group of musicians came together to form the alternative rock group The Dandy Warhols, who quickly stood apart from their peers through their experimental psychedelic garage rock that occasionally got a little weird.

Since the release of their debut album, Dandy’s Rule OK, the Dandy Warhol’s have toured Australia numerous times, and released countless classic singles and hit records. This year, they’re celebrating their 25th anniversary with an Aussie tour.

The Dandy Warhols are heading to Australia this year to perform a special run of shows to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.

The Dandy Warhols’ unfiltered creative streak has earnt them a slew of hit singles like Bohemian Like You and We Used To Be Friends, and a reputation for epic live shows.

Earlier this year, the band released their tenth studio album Why You So Crazy in celebration of 25 years together as a band. The album boasts an off-kilter alt-pop sound that’s a quarter century in the making. Whether you love them for their classics or their new stuff, you can expect to hear a range of different songs from the band’s stylistically diverse catalogue at their anniversary shows.

In addition to co-headlining the Scene & Heard Festival in Brisbane and Newcastle, the band will be performing their 25th anniversary shows in Melbourne at the Forum on Sunday 3rd of November and in Sydney at The Enmore Theatre on Wednesday 6th of November.

The early bird ticket pre-sale for these shows will begin this Friday 7th of June, and general public tickets will go on sale next Wednesday 12th of June. All of the ticket and tour info can be found here.
