While Tyler, The Creator is swimming in the success of his music and fashion careers, he’s now directing his journey towards film making.
In January 2017, he will be releasing his first documentary. Produced by Mikey Alfred and Illegal Civilisation Cinema, will the doco be as freaky as him? We won’t know until then.
Titled Cherry Bomb The Documentary, the film will detail the Tyler, The Creator’s journey making his fourth studio album Cherry Bomb with hip-hop renegades Lil Wayne, Kanye West, ScHoolboy Q and Pharrel.
At his sold-out Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival this weekend, the rapper will share a ten-minute preview of the film. Until then, he’s given us a little snippet.
What Tyler’s given us so far foreshadows what we can expect from the rest of the doco. Within the first ten seconds, Tyler’s licking a pile of bird shit, throwing food at fans, and zoning out into the blurry distance.
