Netflix has dropped ‘That 90s Show’ teaser trailer which reveals a couple of familiar faces, I mean, parents… wait… grandparents.
The streaming giants have revealed it, The Formans are back. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp return as Red and Kitty Forman for That ’70s Show spin-off on Netflix.
Netflix has released a minute-long trailer for the spin-off series to the early 2000s sitcom classic, That ’70s Show. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp are reprising their original roles as Red and Kitty Forman in the new That ’90s Show teaser, which jumps a couple of decades forward to the 90s where we find ourselves hanging out in the same basement as the original series.
Albeit, there appears to be less ‘smoke’ in the air. The clip opens up with the garage door rolling up, and the introduction of Leia, who greets the Formans with ‘Hey Grandma, Hey Grandpa’. It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, who is the daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red.
Scheduled for release in January on Netflix.
