Wide Open Space Festival is returning in 2020

After a brief hiatus in 2019, Central Australia’s much-loved Wide Open Space Festival is returning in 2020, with early bird tickets on sale and music and arts applications now open.

Taking place on the East Macdonnell Ranges from the 1st – 3rd of May 2020, the festival is a celebration of music and art set against the backdrop of the beautiful Australian desert.

Wide Open Space Festival is returning in 2020 for another edition of music, art, and celebration in beautiful central Australia.

Always featuring a broad creative program, from up-and-coming Australian acts to internationally recognised artists, next year’s bill is sure to be no different. Previously the line-up has hosted the likes of Regurgitator, Om Kit (UK), Hiatus Kaiyote, Mojo Juju, L-Fresh the Lion, Haiku Hands, as well as local Alice Springs artist, Resin Moon, and plenty of Indigenous acts from Northern Territory.

Run by an independent team of locals, the festival is held a short drive from Alice Springs at the Ross River Resort. Providing cabins for accommodation and plenty of activities, including a themed pool party, the family-friendly festival is the perfect excuse to get out and explore the breathtaking central outback.

Music and arts applications are now open and will close late December, so if you’re an artist wanting to apply head over to the website now. The first line-up announcement is due out in early 2020.

Early bird tickets are now on-sale and volunteer applications are now open too.
