Wild Pink share new single ‘The Grass Widow In The Glass Window’

Wild Pink unveil a mesmerising new single, The Grass Widow In The Glass Window, ahead of their international tour and fourth album launch.

Wild Pink have returned with a spellbinding new hit, The Grass Window In The Glass Window, featuring guitarist Yasmin Williams. The track is lifted from their highly-anticipated fourth studio album ILYSM, which is slated for release this Friday, October 14 via Royal Mountain Records.

Sit back, relax and enjoy six minutes of sonic heaven. The Grass Widow In The Glass Window showcases a mesmerising medley of sublime piano, riveting guitars, fiercely-addictive percussive elements and earnest lyrics, all of which are foregrounded by the soul-soothing vocals of Wild Pink’s frontman, John Ross.

Speaking of the new single, John Ross says, “this song was inspired by a huge dead hardwood tree that had golden oyster mushrooms growing all over it (thanks to Peter Silberman for the Mycology lesson). It was one of the last songs I wrote for the album and I wanted to try some new ideas. Yasmin Williams’ guitar at the end is one of my favorite parts of the whole album.”

In celebration of this spellbinding tune, and their upcoming 12-track record, the band is set to embark on a major tour across North America, Europe and the UK, which kickstarts this week in Boston.
