What did we even do before the internet? The melting pot of the world’s weirdest and wackiest ideas has pulled through again, as a group of mad geniuses has produced a five minute short film set entirely to the lyrics of Queen’s megahit Bohemian Rhapsody.
It seems like a good idea at face value… but once you start singing some of the warped verses in your head, some glaring logical holes start to appear. Somehow, it’s actually been pulled off.
Without even changing the order, the lyrics serve as a script to the admittedly clichéd crime noir flick. Believe it or not, the whole song is in there, even “Can you do the fandango?”
You know the lyrics, but you’ve never seen them quite like this: Behold a nail-biting thriller set to the absurd lyrics of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
If you’re looking to either praise or lampoon the minds behind this creation, Corridor Digital are your targets. The production company specialises in well-produced, albeit zany videos much like the one above.
The craziness of Literal Bohemian Rhapsody is also it’s charm; the humour coming from the deadpan delivery of some of the most bizarre lyrics ever written.
As good as it is, this interpretation is still only the second-best film appearance of the Queen classic. Relive the unforgettable Wayne’s World scene below:
