20-year-old singer/songwriter Cuco has announced his first ever Australian tour ahead of his upcoming debut album.
Even since teaching himself Ableton Live, the multi instrumentalist has swept the international scene with his charming, Spanglish love songs.
Right in time for his yet-to-be-named debut album, Cuco has announced his first-ever run of Australian tour dates.
Cuco quickly assumed a mass online following after going viral on Twitter from his cover of Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny in 2016. Cuco has since released several EPs, played Coachella for the last two years, and his song Lo Que Siento has nearly 48 million streams on Spotify.
His bedroom pop music is full of dreamy guitars and unassumingly catchy lyrics meandering between Spanish and English, all recorded and produced from his Californian garage.
The Chicano heartthrob spills the album has “two features, possibly three… It’s really just a lot of different styles that still correlate with what I’m doing and my sounds, but it’s really sick because I think there’s a song in there for everybody.”
The lead single off the album, Hydrocone, marks his emotional return to music after being in a car accident with his band during their last tour.
Cuco announced in a press release that he’s “ecstatic to put this song out after two years of working on it, having finished it on my Apple headphones in the hotel room off Hydrocodone post-surgery, recovering from our accident.”
Keep an eye out as the yet-to-be titled album will be released later this year via Interscope records.
