With deCoda, you drop in audio — and in return — you get the chords, tempo, and key. This new software aims to make practising and learning new songs intuitive and simple, so you can be across new material for an upcoming session or gig as soon as possible.

Thanks to its latest 1.1 update it now supports plugin hosting, giving you more ways to play along.

The software update adds support for audio inputs as well as external plugins. You also get a copy of IK Multimedia’s Amplitube 4 LE, with four extra amp models included. Amplitube lets you dial in pro-level guitar and bass tones, helping you to appreciate tone in a live gig or studio session context. The new update also lets you export the chord tracks as MIDI or in the ChordPro format.

deCoda already includes a host of features to make learning songs simple. You can slow down the tempo, transpose the key, and easily loop parts. One of the best features is the Focus EQ, which lets you either boost or cut an instrument in the mix. This allow you hear the parts with more clarity or create backing tracks for more targeted rehearsal.
