Democratic nominee Bernie Sanders predicted Trump’s election ploy word for word, as the US Postal Service is taken to court.
A Bernie Sanders interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is going viral after the democratic nominee predicted Trump’s election playbook word for word in relation to mail-in votes.
The interview, which was conducted at the end of last month on Oct 23, saw Bernie foreshadowing a likely ploy by the Republicans to undermine the electoral system.
Within the video, Sanders describes the importance that mail-in votes will hold in deciding who wins in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. He predicts that Trump will claim victory before the postal votes had even been counted, before, in true Trump fashion, going on to call the election process rigged.
And well damn, just like most things, Bernie was pretty well spot on, getting the states correct and all.

With the three aforementioned states counting their postal votes after in-person votes, we are now seeing a huge turn in Biden’s favour, with postal votes historically favouring Democrats.
True to form, Trump came out in the early hours of Wednesday morning to falsely claim victory, describing: “We were getting ready to win the election. Franky, we did win this election. We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list. It’s a very sad moment. We will win this, and as far as I’m concerned we already have won.”
This was a largely predicted ploy of the Trump campaign, with Postmaster General Louis Dejoy, a large donor to Donald Trump, cutting costs and removing sorting machines just months prior to the election. In an election where mail-in votes could very well decide the vote, the election system was seemingly being rigged months in preparation.
President Trump has also baselessly attacked mail-in voting throughout his campaign, asking his supporters to vote in person despite the danger of COVID-19.
Florida is still not being called because the Postmaster General defied a judge’s order to locate 300,000 missing ballots from 12 postal districts. Miami and Tampa are two of those districts.

Now, federal judges have called upon representatives of the US Postal Service, after they failed to comply with a court order to locate some missing 300,000 ballots that have not been scanned for delivery to election authorities.
An attempt to deliberately slow down the vote-counting process has played right into the plan of Trump, and the plan that Bernie begrudgingly predicted: with mail-in votes now swinging the election in Biden’s favour, Trump will use this as fuel to take the system to the Supreme Court.
Thus far, Trump’s claims of “fraud” and his campaign’s promise of “lawsuits” are all hat, no cattle.
I haven’t seen any basis for a lawsuit that could significantly impact the result of this election. The Michigan lawsuit is merely to get more access to observe counting.

But with the postal system itself now being taken to court, it seems it may come back to bite Trump in the ass.
