Oh Pep! are returning home this December to steal our hearts and capture our imaginations once again, with their love letter-style songs and sweet yet poignant melodies.
The Melbourne duo will be returning from a series of headline shows in the US and Europe which saw them support the likes of Gregory Alan Isakov and Middle Kids.
Following a show-stopping performance at Queenscliff Music Festival, Oh Pep! are set to capture our hearts with a series of Australian shows beginning this December.
The tour follows from the release of the duo’s new album, I Wasn’t only Thinking of You. The long-awaited follow-up to their 2016 debut is a collection of cinematic, well-orchestrated pop songs that see the two traverse through intimate friendships and capture what it’s like to cross the waters from childhood into adulthood. Read the band’s run-through of each song on the album here.
The album was written and recorded across two continents, but the bulk of it was produced in their home city of Melbourne with Australian producer and artist Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe), before being mixed by Marky Wallis (Talking Heads, R.E.M, The Go-Betweens, U2).
In all, the album captures a sound that can be archived next to Aussie greats such as Julia Jacklin and Angie McMahon.
