This year’s much anticipated program for the Newtown Festival 40th anniversary celebrations has finally arrived!
The annual festival is bringing the community together through a brilliant day of music, art, literature, markets, food, four-legged friends and incredibly diverse cultural showcases and festivities.
Newtown Festival is inviting everyone to bask in the weird and wonderful culture of the vibrant and supportive Inner West community.
Newtown Festival is bringing everyone together to support and uplift members of the community that are more disadvantaged than others. All funds raised on Sunday November 11th at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park will go towards keeping the Inner West’s unique and diverse culture thriving.
According to the NCC’s CEO Liz Yeo, Newtown Festival is a perfect example of the incredibly supportive spirit of Newtown’s local community.
“For 40 years Newtown Festival has truly reflected the creative, vibrant and generous spirit of this community. From its grassroots beginnings, to an event which now attracts tens of thousands of locals and visitors, the Festival has stayed true to its core purpose – to celebrate community and creativity and to inspire social change.”
“We are so grateful to our community for continuing to support Newtown Neighbourhood Centre over all these years, and we can’t wait to celebrate turning 40 on Saturday 11 November!”
The festival celebrations will include some wonderful food and market stalls scattered throughout the grounds. Stalls will include handmade goods, varying cuisines from around the world, and much more.
The annual festival has also announced some great activities suitable for people of all ages in their Kids Zone. The celebrations have also included a special Sassy Treats Dog Show for your furry friends to get involved in.
The day has made sure to reflect the creative and generous spirit of the local community, so make sure to check out the full Newtown Festival lineup below!
