The antichrist superstar himself, Marilyn Manson has just shared a mysterious message on Instagram which hints towards what fans believe is an upcoming album.
The controversial figure has shared an image of a colourful frequency wave with Latin phrase “Omnes surdus es et nunc audite me…” which translates to “All deaf and now you hear me.”
Manson’s cryptic Instagram post has created a fan frenzy, with the majority believing that a bunch of new music is on the way in the form of an album.
A new album would mark Manson’s 11th studio album and the first since 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. Manson’s Instagram post included the hashtags #2020 and #youhavenoideawhatiscoming, which give even more reason to believe that fresh material is approaching us.
The news isn’t too surprising since Manson has said that his upcoming album was nearly done, however, it might not be what we expect, because the artist also added that he wouldn’t compare his new record to his past work. In April 2019, the artist opened up about the dark worlds his next album would explore:
“I’m in a mode in life where I wanted to tell stories with this record, and it’s sort of like a wax museum of my thoughts, a study of the chamber of horrors in my head. All the romance and hope you can have in the world, here in the End Times where it can be a different kind of apocalypse for each person listening to the record. I tried to paint it with words, and Shooter [Jennings] with sounds, so you can see and hear all of your longing, your passion and despair.”
‘That’s sort of a dramatic explanation of it! But it is full of drama. I wouldn’t compare it to any of my other records, but you hear a bit of everything. It’s like I’ve focused everything into one spot, finally.”
Fans of Marilyn Manson are getting pumped for new releases from the artist. If Manson’s track record says anything, we can expect something massive, and unlike anything we have heard before. Check out Manson’s Instagram post below and stay tuned for new music.
