Iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist, Flea, has finally announced the release date for his much anticipated memoir, Acid For The Children. Flea has undoubtedly lived a colourful life, which will surely make the memoir a lightning hot read.
Chili Peppers frontman, Anthony Kiedis’ autobiography, Scar Tissue, was No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller List in 2004 and given that he and Flea are best friends, Flea’s upcoming memoirs should be just as saucy.
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist, Flea, has announced the release date of his much anticipated memoir Acid For The Children, set for a November 5th release.
Acid For The Children will be released on November 5th of this year and will feature a foreword by Patti Smith. Born in Melbourne, Flea’s memoir promises to cover all aspects of his life from his early childhood in Australia, to his time in New York and finally to his time in Los Angeles.
Flea stated in an interview with Publishers Weekly, “I didn’t want to write a rock star book. It was about setting a challenge for myself to write something that wasn’t about the Chili Peppers and that would have to stand on its own as a piece of literature.”
It seems as if there will be a healthy blend between recounting Flea’s life as an individual and as the bassist of celebrated band Red Hot Chili Peppers.
For now the release date is November 5th so get keen! Pre order here.
