Garage-punk-rock outfit Girl and Girl deliver ‘Fight night’ live EP

Girl and Girl release rocking live EP Fight Night amidst international tour look out Whammy Bar, they are coming at ya.

Garage-rock outfit Girl and Girl have released their new live EP Fight Night, filmed and recorded at Melbourne’s Fight Night Records.

This latest effort sees the Victorian four-piece revisit a selection of songs from their 2022 debut EP Divorce  – “Strangers”, “Dance Now”, “Garden Song”, “Divorce 2” – as well as the single “All I See”, originally released this June.

These renditions are grittier than their original counterparts, but just as sonically clear.

Fight Night, distributed by Sub Pop / Virgin Music Australia, is the bands first live release.

With this EP, they have joined such underground Australian talent as Felix Riebl, Folk Bitch Trio, and Grace Cummings in recording live sessions at the Fight Night Records studio. Watch Girl and Girl’s performances of “Strangers” and “Divorce 2” here.

The garage rockers are currently working on their full-length debut with Sub Pop Records, and are set to play numerous shows across Australia, New Zealand, and Europe over the next couple of months – including at Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris on November 11.
