Gorillaz’ virtual members are on a mixtape-making rampage. A few weeks back they released a naughty Christmas playlist featuring a whole bunch of Christmas song parodies by artists like AC/DC and Tom Waits.
Now they’ve taken a step in a new direction – the band’s cartoon guitarist Noodle has just put together a collection of his favourite female artists in a new mixtape, and it’s really, really good.
Grimes, Hiatus Kaiyote, Empress Of and heaps more feature on a new mixtape from the Gorillaz camp featuring “kick-ass women” – have a listen below.
The 30 minute mix features tunes from the likes of Grimes, Empress Of, Hiatus Kaiyote, Fatima Al-Qadiri, Anna Meredith and heaps more.
