On Thursday, June 17th, Happy Mag presents Last Thursday’s It’s Not The Same single launch at Waywards, in the heart of Sydney.
After years of wowing fans with their stellar live gigs, Last Thursday are finally immortalising their musical prowess – and Happy is keen to get on board. That’s why we’re pleased to be presenting Last Thursday at Newtown’s iconic upstairs live music spot, Waywards.
Born and raised in Sydney’s inner west, Last Thursday are renowned for their live gigs and their constant evolution as artists.
While the band, made up of Euan Hart, John Bilsel, Jaspar McCahon-Boersma, & Christian Amore, have been performing It’s Not The Same as a set-staple, this is your chance to see it up close and personal, ahead of the release of their second EP, You Know You Don’t.
Gaining traction following the release of their first big single, Only Man, Last Thursday have staked their claim as a band that easily genre-hops between melancholic rock, with a disco flair.
However, It’s Not The Same takes a softer turn, utilising Euan Hart’s soothing vocals, and hypnotic guitar strums, to paint a sonic picture of first love, first heartbreak, and the first teachings of valuable lessons.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, but most importantly, you’ll have a good time this Thursday. Last Thursday will also be joined by Brit-pop icons, Jet City Sports Club – and did we mention, you’ll be there for Last Thursday’s first standing show since COVID?
Tickets are getting swept up quickly, so be sure to nab some for yourself, your mates, and maybe even your mum!
It’s Not The Same is out now, so stream the single here.
