Jack White’s band The Saboteurs (aka The Raconteurs) will reunite at Bluesfest 2019

Here’s an early Christmas present for you! The Saboteurs (aka The Raconteurs) will be reuniting at Bluesfest 2019 for the first time in years, a performance which will double as their first ever Australian show.

The band is made up of four friends from Detroit – Jack White, Brendon Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler – who started making music together all the way back in 2005.

The Saboteurs aka The Raconteurs will be reuniting for their first Australian Show at Bluesfest 2019, ahead of a long-awaited album release.

The Raconteurs, known in Australia as The Saboteurs – the storytellers or the sabotages depending on where you live – have just released their first singles in over a decade.

The music video for Now That You’re Gone is a ’60s-style take on a badass modern heroine shot in black and white, with Brendon Benson on lead vocals. Meanwhile Sunday Driver is a ’90s in-the-round, head-banging, punk style clip.

This release accompanies the reissue of the 2008 single Consolers of the Lonely on 7″ vinyl with Third Man Records Vault Package #38. This album earned a Grammy for Best Engineered Non-Classical Album.

The Saboteurs’ long-awaited LP will be coming out in 2019, and these two singles come from those studio sessions.

“We’re knee deep in the trenches of our first new album in a decade. We have a vast amount of genre – pushing songs that bridge the gap between Detroit and Nashville rock and roll. The album sounds like a World War Magazine recently,” White told Mojo this year.

2019 will be the 30th Anniversary of Bluesfest.

Bluesfest kicks off in 118 days, but who’s counting? Grab your tickets here.
