The tributes have been pouring in from famous friends and millions of fans all over the world this morning, as we awake to the news of Olivia Newton John’s passing.
Having found fame together as one of Hollywood’s most enduring on-screen couples in the iconic film ‘Grease’, John Travolta pays tribute today to his leading lady Olivia Newton-John 73, who passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends.
John Travolta, who many consider to be ‘Clark Gable’ to Olivia’s ‘Greta’ shared incredible on-screen chemistry, which gave Hollywood one of the most celebrated films ever to be made.
First starring together in Grease in 1978, Newton-John, and Travolta reunited in the 1983 film ‘Two of a Kind’. Travolta shared via socials this morning, a very endearing and heartfelt message of love, for his Grease co-star, sharing,
“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
The co-stars remained firm friends throughout Newton johns life, with Travolta sharing in a recent interview, with Us, “We were together not that long ago, about three months ago, and we text each other all the time. It’s wonderful. … If I go to see her in her show, we go backstage and hang out, and I watch the show and all that. If I go to see her personally, we usually have dinner and catch up. And recently we’ve been talking about trying to do something together.”
When Newton-John was amid her third battle with Cancer, he shared with the media, “She looks great, she looks fantastic! I’m so proud of her, I mean, have you ever seen anyone look like that?”
