Lost Goat Found bring a dark edge to pop rock with their new single Upstairs

Lost Goat Found are serving a punchy brand of pop rock; combining layer upon layer of velvet melodies over hard themes and big messages.

Their latest release, Upstairs, grabbles with mental health and the way it impacts friends and families. In putting the song together, Ben Daniels (lead guitar), Morgan Francis (guitar and vocals), Dom Mercer (drums), and Cameron Daniels (bass) have gone for a much bigger sound, signalling an edgier, more instrumental direction for the band.

A band quickly cementing themselves in Brisbane’s band scene, Lost Goat Found are bringing a dark edge to pop rock.

With roots as a folk duo doing open mic nights, Lost Found Goat are a band quickly earning their place in Brisbane’s band scene. The move was prompted by a desire to create a bigger sound with bigger messages, and has seen them seamlessly veer towards indie rock that mirrors bands such as Powderfinger, Gang of Youths, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

The four piece are proving to be a live force, performing regularly since their formation last year.

Lost Goat Found have a new EP in the works, and a bunch of live shows coming up too. If they continue on their current route, expect deft songwriting, edgy pop rock, and even more beautiful melodies to come.

Until then, listen to their new tune Upstairs above.
