Black Crow, the newest track from Wellington artist Louis Baker, takes the best qualities of vintage soul and melds them with a refreshing, youthful energy.
The track is about the struggles of “brushing negativity off your shoulder,” and no matter what your situation, its rolling R&B beats are bound to lift your spirits.
On his black and white new video Black Crow, Louis Baker will melt your heart with his crooning, soulful, and seemingly flawless vocals.
Baker’s soulful croon is a voice that you’re going to want to look out for. Having already layed down sets at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Splendour In The Grass, Baker is currently one of music’s most compelling voices.
“Black Crow’ symbolises being heavyhearted and out of control, but is hopeful in the sense that it’s also about embracing change and breaking free of negative emotions,” Baker says of the track.
The song’s incredibly heartwarming video is shot entirely in black and white, and follows a young man travelling through basketball courts, barbershops, and office spaces, while Baker makes multiple appearances in the background.
The clip culminates with Baker embracing the young gentleman in a good, hearty hug – as if peace has finally been found.
