Free this weekend? There ain’t nowhere better to be than Old Mate’s Block Party

If you’re the kind of music lover who finds themselves at six gigs a week, and trawling Spotify in between, this one’s for you.

This coming Saturday marks the third annual Old Mate’s Block Party, taking place at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville. Each year Sydney rock royalty The Lockhearts hand pick the Old Mate’s lineup, and are yet to disappoint. We reckon this year, they’ll make the hat trick.

One of Sydney’s only festivals with a lineup curated by musos, Old Mate’s Block Party is set to blow the roof off The Factory Theatre yet again.

Connecting music lovers with local and interstate talent, Old Mate’s Block Party has recently announced its final lineup. The result is a string of ripper talent including Particles, Hello Bones and Eightball Junkies, to name a few.

With a lineup curated by The Lockhearts, the new additions feature bands such as Pan Pacific Grand Prix, Johnny Hunter and Neon Hearts, who will be performing their reunion show.

With oranges at half time and sold out festivals two years in a row, you’ll want to jump on getting your tix quick as first release have already gone. See below for the hot and heavy line-up.
