Pink to pay tribute to Olivia Newton-John 

Pink is set to pay tribute to Olivia Newton-John at this year’s American Music Awards.

The American Music Awards have announced that this year’s celebration will feature a tribute performance honouring the late Australian singer-songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John.

With two performance slots scheduled in, Pink is set to perform one of the Australian star’s classic songs in her honour, as well as her latest single, Never Gonna Not Dance Again.

Australia’s sweetheart, Olivia Newton-John, best known for her iconic performance in Grease, and her indelible contribution to the music scene, died in August this year aged 73 after a battle with breast cancer.

Lionel Richie will be honoured with the Icon Award on the night with Stevie Wonder, Charlie Puth, and Ari Lennox to pay tribute with a medley of Richie classics. Other performers include Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha, Dove Cameron, Lil Baby and Anitta.

The 2022 AMAs, hosted by Wayne Brady, will be held in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 20 November, and will air on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and will stream the following day on Hulu.

Mumbai fans can watch the ceremony via Lionsgate Play. The AMAs will also stream exclusively on the digital platform in Malaysia and the Philippines.
