Professor Brian Cox says aliens could exist ahead of the Pentagon papers

British musician turned physicist, Professor Brian Cox, believes that aliens could exist.

The US Pentagon is scheduled to release previously classified documents that contain evidence to prove that alien life may or may not exist in our universe.

The sensitive information will be released to the US Congress on June 25. However, Professor Brian Cox has weighed in on the matter early.

“There have to be other civilisations in the universe. I can’t imagine we are the only one … Knowing what we know, it’s conceivable there are one or two civilisations in a galaxy at any one time … There’s certainly one in our galaxy. It’s us,” said Professor Cox when speaking to the Sunday Mirror in the UK.

According to Cox’s theory, “there could be at least 200 billion other civilisations in the universe.”

It’s a hypothesis that stems from studies that: “suggest there could be anywhere between 200 billion and two trillion galaxies” in the universe.

With that in mind, Professor Cox has proposed that UFOs are, perhaps, “robot spacecraft” that are being used by extra-terrestrials to explore Earth in a similar way to humans exploring other planets with our own devices.

“Why send Battlestar Galactica when you could send something the size of an iPhone?” questions Professor Cox.

It’s anticipated that the “Pentagon papers will detail 120 close encounters by US military pilots  investigated by its Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, the Office of Naval Intelligence and the FBI.”

Previous theories to UFO sightings have speculated that the objects being seen are hypersonic technologies developed by foreign powers such as Russia or China.

However, officials who have been made privy to the papers early, say that the evidence is “inconclusive”.

In other words, the theories of hypersonic technology are not as valid as some may hope, leaving alien life as a contender for the reasons regarding the strange occurrences.

Former President of the US, Barack Obama, added to the speculation during his appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden in May.

“What is true, and I’m actually being serious here, is that there is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are,” Obama said.

With just over two weeks left until the papers are released, the world will not have to wait long to see if there really is life amongst the stars.
