This skeleton guitar was created by an absolute madman from uncle’s remains

There’s weird and then there’s this. An amateur luthier going by the name of Prince Midnight has decided to utilise skeleton remains for his latest guitar.

Luthier Prince Midnight’s Uncle Filip passed away some two decades ago and was donated to medical research. Some time has passed and the institute sent the family member back in a wooden box.

Cremation not being an option for Greeks following the orthodox faith, and not wanting to leave the remains in a box in an attic or other storage, Prince Midnight decided to take some tools to his uncle to create the first skeleton guitar.

In a statement to Metal Sucks, “I decided to turn Uncle Filip into a guitar, which proved to be challenging. I did a lot of research and no one has ever made a guitar out of a skeleton. So, I did it. I started out consulting with two guys in Dean Guitars’ woodshop in Tampa but they got cold feet.”

Titled the Skelecaster the axe features a Telecaster style electronics set, a custom headstock with Filip Skelecaster written on it. It wouldn’t be complete without a real rib cage from someone who once lived and breathed.

The builder offered some heartfelt words on his deceased family member to Metal SucksAnyways, now Uncle Filip can shred for all eternity. That’s how he would want it.”
