Stonefest returns after a decade of hibernation

Stonefest has announced a triumphant return to form this year with a 2019 lineup boasting fresh Australian talent from all around the country. This will be the first Stonefest since 2010 and it looks like the rite of passage Canberra festival won’t be pulling punches.

Headline act British India will be making a return to the festival, having performed on the uni grounds a decade ago on the 2009 line up.

The 2019 Stonefest lineup boasts exciting acts from around the east coast, giving solid representation to different parts of Australia.

Newcastle natives FRITZ and RAAVE TAPES will be heading down to give their electronically tinged indie tunes a whirl, with Wollongong disco duo Cry Club doing the same. Ceres and Pagan from Melbourne are looking to add a sombre tinge to proceedings, only to be countered by the lush Good Doogs sound from our country’s untamed west.

The festival acknowledged their attempt to more accurately reflect the diversity of their campus through this lineup, with the result being 60% of acts containing non-male members.

Stonefest will hit theĀ UC Refectory and UC Hub on October 19th. Tickets are on sale now.
