Sunday Avenue are a fresh four-piece pop-rock band from the Central Coast of NSW, with tracks that layer quirky melodies and danceable grooves, and lyrics that explore the emotions of young love.
Made up of lead vocalist Cory Jones, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Lochlan Penny, bassist Luke Rondan, and drummer Brandan Rondan, Sunday Avenue have a distinctive light-hearted sound that fuses emotive lyrics, catchy melodies, and dynamic rhythms.

The boys of Sunday Avenue share a common ground in their passion for pop music and energetic live performances, one which drove them to start writing their catalog of emotional rollercoasters. Last month, the band dropped their debut EP Contrast, which draws on their varying influences to create a unique palette that explores elements of pop, rock, and funk. The leading single of the EP Sweet Dreams is a catchy funk-infused pop track, while the second single Moonlight is a retro synth track reminiscent of ‘80s power-pop.
Their latest single off the EP, Melted Hearts, melds pop and rock to create the sonic equivalent of a 2000s high school romance movie. It’s simultaneously lighthearted and heartfelt, with catchy melodies and buoyant danceable rhythms, paired with epic guitar riffs and hard-hitting drums.
The music video for Melted Hearts shows a captivating performance by the band in a smoke-filled room, adding to the nostalgia of the lyrics. Lead singer Cory Jones fills the room as he evokes the emotions of the song through his movements, looking straight into the camera as he sings “all I want from this is her eye contact.”
The band’s influences range from Maroon 5 to INXS, with melodies that tell a story and rhythms that make you dance. For Sunday Avenue, it’s all about connecting with audiences, whether that be from the stage or the studio. Their debut EP Contrast is out now on major streaming services.
